Why do you have to walk around naked?", "Have‘ a bit of decency" or "You don’t have to make such an appearance" could be read in the comment columns on Instagram, among others. While Zoë Kravitz initially countered with comments like “It’s just a body, we all have one,” she later decided to delete all posts on her Instagram and take a social media break.
"People think that what they say doesn’t affect a celebrity because they don’t think we’re real people. This is crazy", said the daughter of music star Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet now in an interview with the US Elle. "I am a human being. I want to defend the hell out of myself." Kravitz needed the break to perceive herself as an artist again. Because that’s exactly what she wants to show herself as, and "not walk through the world as if on eggshells," she continued.
