What’s behind Scarlett Johansson’s own skincare line

More and more celebrities are launching their own beauty lines – the market for hair products, makeup, skincare or nutritional supplements is booming. The latest example is Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson, who has now launched her own skincare line, The Outset.

Scarlett Johansson’s skincare line "The Outset" is defined primarily üby two claims: "Do more with less" and "The ease of simplicitiy” (The power of simplicity). Scarlett and her co-founder Kate Foster want to keep the formula and ingredients of their products as clean, simple and minimalist as possible.

The design of the products also follows this minimalist guideline – kept simple with discreet lettering and few colors. And: The products have their price. On the official website, for example, a micellar water costs 32 dollars, a vegan collagen serum is listed at 46 dollars, and a Squalane Daily Moisturizer costs 44 dollars.

The company’s goal, she said, is to make everyday life more fun through a personal care routine. According to Scarlett Johansson, it is a matter close to her heart to make her products accessible to everyone. She has often worked for luxury brands in the past, but she has always felt the desire to do her own thing at some point with products she absolutely stands behind.
