Shampoo should be used sparingly, because too much can dry out the scalp and the hair itself. The size of one to two olives should be enough to remove dirt, talc and styling residues. To do this, massage the shampoo well into the scalp and then rinse thoroughly with water. The hair lengths do not need to be shampooed, so this portion size is sufficient for all hair lengths. Unlike shampoo, which cleanses the hair but opens up the cuticle, conditioner contains conditioning ingredients that close the hair structure. The conditioner nourishes, nourishes and seals the hair and should therefore be applied after each hair wash to the middle lengths and ends. It is simply applied to damp hair and rinsed out after a few minutes. How much conditioner to use, unlike shampoo, depends on the length of the hair. Probably the biggest advantage of leave-in conditioner is, as the name suggests, that it does not need to be washed out. Instead, it is simply massaged or sprayed into damp hair after shampooing. It is available both in a liquid cream texture from the tube or bottle and for spraying. For optimal results, it is advisable to apply the hair care product after each wash. On dry hair, however, it is also ideal as a quick care session in between, because it ensures better combability.

For short hair, use about a blueberry-sized amount of leave-in conditioner. For shoulder-length hair, one to two blobs of raspberry-green – or 1-2 pumps should be enough. Long hair is happy über a quantity that corresponds approximately to two Walnüssen. The thicker the hair, the more product use. When using spray bottles, make sure that the distance is correct so that the fine mist does not land on the hair in a single spot, but rather in a large area.

Hair masks or treatments are intensive care products that are used once or twice a week. Compared to classic hair conditioners, which are usually washed off after a few minutes in the shower, hair masks remain in the hair longer. The recommended exposure time of a mask depends, of course, on the type of mask. In principle, however, they should remain on the hair for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

The mask is applied after washing on the slightly damp or towel-dried hair – and quietly from the hair root to the tip! And how much hair mask is needed? For medium-length hair, a portion about the size of a walnut is usually enough. The longer the hair, the more product it needs. After the mask or treatment has worked successfully, rinse the hair with lukewarm water until it is completely clear and the hair feels clean again.

When it comes to hair oil or hair serum, the general rule is: less is more. Too much Öl can make the hair look stringy. One to two drops should be enough for medium-length hair, but for very voluminous or very dry hair it can be two or three drops more. Important: Apply the hair oil mainly to the ends, any residue can be smoothed over the lengths with a smooth hand from the height of the ears. No-go: Put the oil near the hairline, otherwise it will quickly look greasy. It is also helpful not to massage the oil into damp hair, as is often recommended by manufacturers, but to wait until it is completely dry, so that its effect can be better controlled. If you have used too much, dry shampoo can help in an emergency überschüssige Öl to absorb.
