Thereby, the emerald green, floor-length glitter dress by designer Jenny Packham, which the Duchess had already worn in October 2019 during a trip to Pakistan, before almost became a minor matter: it was Kate’s hair that immediately caught the eye. What was different than usual? Instead of the usual center parting, the duchess wore her mane coiffed into a deep side parting, with voluminous curls falling over her left shoulder. The other side, where the hair was strictly backcombed, reminded at first glance of a sidecut. All the hairstyle details in combination made the mother-of-three look hip, sophisticated and elegant at the same time – new look, new Kate!
Classic details to Kate’s new look
The unusual hairstyle also drew attention to the Duchess’s eye-catching earrings: gold hoops with an antique look by Missoma, which are currently still available for 175 euros in the brand’s online store. The royal lady wore bright, shimmering eye makeup and glossy lipstick in a delicate shade of red.
Kate wasn’t the only eye-catcher on the night, though. Prince William, who wore a velvet jacket and bow tie, was in no way inferior to his wife in terms of style. In addition, superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Rod Stewart and James Blunt came to the Royal Variety Charity, whose patron is Queen Elizabeth II and which supports British artists in emergency situations.
