7 tips for beautiful hair overnight

Who doesn’t know the morning tousled look? The hair sticks out straw-like, there is hardly any way for comb and brush to get through. It doesn’t have to be! Tikbow knows seven tips that can transform your hair into a dream mane overnight.

To bed with dry hair

Never, never, never go to bed with wet hair! Why not? Hair is more sensitive when wet, and if it rubs against the pillow while you sleep, it can lead to split ends and hair breakage. If you wash your hair in the evening, you should allow enough time for it to dry or dry in peace. But then be sure to remember the heat protection! Braid the still slightly damp hair into a loose braid to protect it from split ends, and be sure to use a soft rubber braid. Beautiful hair über Nacht – so simply goes’s!

Leave the hair mask on overnight.

The only exception that justifies wet hair while sleeping is hair care. Overnight, masks, treatments and the like have plenty of time to work deep into the hair. Here, either a leave-in care can be used or a cure that is washed out in the morning. Distribute the product generously in the hair and then wrap or braid the wet hair loosely in a microfiber towel, and you can look forward to a fantastically shiny mane when you wake up.

Beautiful hair über Nacht – Plopping

Speaking of microfiber towel: There is a great curls-über Nacht trick that succeeds exactly with it: Plopping. This involves wrapping freshly washed hair in a microfiber towel or cotton shirt, where it transforms üovernight into beautiful, defined curls.

Sleep with hairstyle

If you sleep with your hair loose, you run the risk of the hair being roughened on the pillow surface or, in the worst case, even breaking off. Dry hair is therefore best protected during sleep in two ways: the loosely twisted chignon or a braided plait. Both variants protect the hair from breaking, because they do not rub individually on the pillow. In addition, this way you conjure up waves in the hair. The tighter the braid or chignon is tied, the curlier the curls will be and the more volume the hair will have. But be careful. Both hairstyles should not be too tight to prevent hair breakage üovernight.

Use gentle hair bands

In general, and therefore also for sleeping, the following applies: If you want to protect your hair, you should avoid hair ties and clips with metal parts. If you tie a chignon or braid your hair overnight, use a scrunchie or a hair band made of silk or velvet without metal inserts to fix the hairstyle.

Bed your head on silk

Protect your skin and hair with your choice of bedding. Cotton, linen and the like are often too rough for sensitive hair and put additional strain on it. Smooth silk is more gentle. If you don’t want to change all your pillowcases, a sleeping cap or a silk scarf will suffice to give you a nice head in the morning.

Dry shampoo against greasy hair

Dry shampoo is the panacea for those who do not want to wash their hair every day. If it is applied to greasy roots before going to bed, the dry shampoo absorbs the sebum overnight and you wake up with grease-free roots. The same works with baby powder. Especially short hair is flattened overnight and becomes greasy quickly. With a little baby powder on the base, you wake up in the morning with volume and a base, like freshly washed.
