The occasion for the visit of the royal couple to the legendary Westminster Abbey was the anniversary of the first corona-related lockdown in Great Britain. Citizens across the country were called upon to commemorate the more than 120,000 corona deaths. Duchess Kate and her husband William performed this duty by visiting a vaccination center housed in the hallowed halls of the Abbey – in a look befitting the occasion.
Coat brought back memories of wedding dress
A real eye-catcher: Kate’s calf-length cream coat with an elegant round neck – a model by London label Catherine Walker, which is definitely one of the Duchess’ favorites. The coat featured a lace appliqué throughout the front, and due to its bright color scheme, memories of Kate’s wedding dress may have arisen not only among Royal fans – that creation by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton, which caused a lot of sensation in 2011 and was subsequently copied a million times.
Duchess Kates Look – Clutch und Pumps im gleichen Stil
Kate combined the Catherine Walker creation with brown suede pumps by Jimmy Choo and a matching clutch by the label "Métier London", costing a good 2000 euros. The mother-of-three wore her hair pinned back in a classic, elegant half bun, which drew the eye to the dainty Annoushka Ducas pearl earrings, which in turn perfectly matched the coat. When it came to makeup, the Duchess showed her usual restraint – hardly any emphasis on the eyes, the mouth-nose area was covered by a medical mask anyway.
