Glitter robes, suspenders, latex – to stand out at the MTV European Music Awards, the stars reached deep into the fashion bag of tricks. Singer Rita Ora was right at the forefront. She walked the red carpet in Budapest in a black feathered jumpsuit with XXL train – Black Swan or plucked chicken? Tikbow does the style check.
At her performance at the EMAs in Budapest, superstar Rita Ora adorned herself with foreign feathers – and lots of them! For her fairy tale appearance with boyfriend, director Taika Waititi, the 30-year-old wore a jumpsuit in which she was definitely not to be overlooked: Top and train of the designer piece by Jean-Louis Sabaji were über and über decorated with glittering black feathers that stuck out wildly in all directions. Beneath them peeked a kind of corset that münded down into tight-fitting black pants. With this Ora wore black floss heels with wedge heel, a black clutch and long statement earrings. An extravagant wow look, with which the singer also Natalie Portman in her role as "Black Swan" would have been able to compete!
Fly leg eyelashes to the feather fareüm
The make-up of Rita Ora turned out on this evening ähnlich bühnenreif. Particularly eye-catching were the extra-long and deliberately glued eyelashes of the singer, which were reminiscent of the well-known – and long hated – "fly leg eyelashes". Together with an XXL eyeliner, lots of blush and a flawless complexion, the XXL lashes on Rita Ora had absolutely nothing of a make-up fail, but completed her stylish look perfectly.
Rita Ora goes for spiky bun
Only the Rück view of Rita Ora’s EMA look seemed more chaotic than elegant. This was not only due to all the masses of wildly protruding feathers on the meter-long train, the tousled bun that hair stylist Shon Hyungsun Ju conjured up in the singer’s hair did its Übriges.
This was a real trend hairstyle – the spiky bun, which may be familiar to many from the 90s – but the spiky strands sticking out of the strict braid looked a bit too much in combination with the statement jumpsuit. More is not always more, a cleaner hairstyle might have been the better choice here.
