5 styling tips for the trend look with cowboy boots

Cowboy boots sind lässiger als Stiefeletten, mutiger als Combat Boots und vor allem: echte Hingucker! Wie man die Trendstiefel auch im Spätsommer tragen kann? Tikbow hat fünf Styling-Tipps parat.

"These Boots Are Made for Walkin’", you might think when you look at the shoes, which have been in fashion again for some time – and are also very popular with the stars. Pop star Gwen Stefanie recently got married in a white pair of cowboy boots, Miley Cyrus likes to wear the shoes as a style break with a conservative pantsuit and supermodel Kendall Jenner with an elegant slip dress. What you have to keep in mind to not look too cowboy in the boots and how to combine them best? Tikbow has compiled the most important dos and don’ts.

Please do not: combine cowboy boots with check shirt and hat

If you don’t want to look like a carnival party or like you’ve just escaped from a country band, please steer clear of red check shirts, jean shorts and cowboy boots. Instead, style breakthroughs are in demand. Fine materials to rough leather, elegant cuts to the rather cool kicks. Cowboy boots look particularly good when the leather has already acquired a slight patina. In second-hand stores you can often find well-preserved (sometimes even unworn) models that have exactly this old-school charm.

The cowboy boot looks playful with a dress

If you like the style break of coarse boots (for example, chunky combat boots) and fluttery summer dress anyway, the cowboy boots to the summer dress is certainly a lot of fun. To note: The boot should reach maximum to the knee and have relatively flat heels, everything else can quickly look too dressed up. Whether it’s a playful flower dress or a minimalist slip dress: you can try out whatever you like when choosing your clothes. The cowboy boot gives even the most romantic dress a certain casualness that sandals and ballerinas lack.

Brave combine the boots with bike shorts and oversized shirt

Cowboy boots look even cooler with an oversized shirt and shorts. The boots can be a bit longer and the heel between three and five centimeters high. Vintage shirts look particularly casual as styling partners, which are already slightly washed out and make a winking reference to the Wild West. Blogger Maria Jernov shows the way: She wears a Texas shirt with a horse print. What, on the other hand, goes less well with the trendy shoe: Neon colors and bike shorts made of shiny nylon.

With jeans the cowboy boot becomes lässig …

In case it does get cooler on late summer evenings, the boots can of course also be wonderfully styled with denim. Loose-fitting mom jeans look slightly rolled up especially cool. The cowboy boots themselves are the eye-catcher here: Whether colorful pattern, crocodile look, metallic shimmer or heel … to the jeans fit the most unusual models!

… and to the noble two-piece bürotauglich

If you’re looking for something a little more chic, try pointed-toe cowboy boots with a little heel in cream, beige or matte black. Rather conservative garments such as tweed jackets, twinsets and blazers are given a touch of edge. The boots look especially good in summer with two-piece suits such as airy pantsuits or pencil skirts and oversized blazers.
