Lacura – the beauty brand from Aldi in check

Each discounter now launches its own line of care products. Aldi has named its brand Lacura. When it was first launched and who all has already promoted it – all the facts in the Tikbow portrait.

Cosmetics, creams, shampoos & Co. from discounters are primarily very cheap. But that alone is not enough to convince. In addition to quality, the right marketing also plays an important role in holding one’s own against the competition. Aldi Süd therefore works closely with influencers. Clea-Lacy Juhn, "Bachelor"winner of 2017, designed a "Shimmer Shine Stick" for Lacura, Anna Maria Damm developed a spray for fixing makeup, the "Hydra Beauty Mist."

How it all began at Aldi and Lacura

Lacura derives from the Latin term "cura/cure" and means "care/treatment." As early as the mid-1990s, Aldi Süd launched its own brand on the market. One of the first products on the shelf was "Lacura Anti-Aging Q10 Day and Night Cream". At Aldi Nord, the products were offered under a slightly different name: Biocura. In the meantime, however, Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have agreed on a uniform course. Since 2019, it has also been called Lacura at Aldi Nord.

The Lacura bestsellers

The Lacura range extends from body care to facial cleansing in the form of tissues, pads and cotton tissues. The brand has so far managed without any scandals involving questionable ingredients. A spokesman for Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd revealed to Tikbow which products are particularly popular: "The Lacura Anti-Aging Q10 Night Cream, the Lacura Hyaluron Gel and the Lacura Caviar Series."
