Use body scrub
The basic rule of proper skin care is exfoliating your skin. You should remove the skin cells that die every day. If you don’t get rid of them, they will settle on your body and make your skin look dry. No matter how much lotion you use, you will never have glowing skin if you don’t exfoliate. Take a body scrub and get in the shower. Gently rub it in circular motions all over your body from the shoulders down (you’ll need a facial scrub for your face and neck) and rinse it off. Do this procedure 2 – 3 times a week to have beautiful skin all year round.
Body care in summer: shower twice a day.
Good hygiene is very important in the summer. A cool bath at night before going to bed can help remove all the dirt, grime and sweat that the body has accumulated during the day and prevent skin rashes.
Moisturizing shower gel as part of your summer body care routine
Body washes are a must in any body care routine and now in the summer, it’s important to switch to moisturizing ingredients that will give your skin a refreshing boost and rejuvenate your body. Cleansing with the right products is the key to refreshed and soothed skin.
Hydrate your body with a lotion
Find a summertime lotion that you won’t forget. It’s time to swap out that thick winter body butter for a light summer lotion. You don’t have time to wait for your lotion to soak in, so look for a lotion that absorbs quickly. Nothing goes better with summer than a light, refreshing, fruity lotion. It’s best to apply it immediately after bathing/showering.
Apply sunscreen as a body care product in summer
The sun’s UV-A and UV-B rays can be very harmful. Not only can they cause a stubborn tan, but they can also lead to premature aging, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. A good sunscreen with SPF 30 – 50 is essential for all skin types during the summer months, even if you spend most of your time indoors. If you go swimming, we recommend reapplying sunscreen several times: reapply every 1 – 2 hours for a summer full of safe sunbathing.
Throw away last year’s unused sunscreen and replace it with a new bottle. Sunscreens are not meant to last forever.
Skin care routine – summer glow
There are so many ways to give your skin a summer complexion, and the tanning bed should not be one of them. Using a tanner will give your skin a nice start to the summer. Even if you’re not a fan of self-tanning sprays for the face, you can easily use them for your entire body. Alternating your moisturizer with a body product that adds a little color will give you a healthy glow that will make you look like you just spent the weekend at the beach. Most self-tanning sprays build color gradually by alternating with your regular body lotion. They never get too dark.
Deodorants and body sprays for fresh bodies.
During the summer season, it’s best to switch to light body products. Opt for alcohol-free deodorants, as antibacterial deodorants or body sprays will keep you fresh throughout the day and fight germs.
Don’t forget your feet
The winter boots have long been packed away, now it’s sandal time. You can also do a pedicure at home. You should scrub off the dead, dry skin to reveal your sandal-ready feet. Nothing is worse than seeing dull, dry feet in pretty sandals. This doesn’t have to be a major ordeal. Put a foot scrub and file in your shower and scrub your feet a few times a week. You’ll notice a big difference in the softness of your feet.
Daily body care in summer for women: Drink more water and fruit juices.
In summer you should drink at least 2 – 3 liters of water per day. Watermelon and fresh juices are also a good way to stay hydrated. If possible, carry a water bottle with you and remember to drink at least every 30 minutes. Water not only keeps you feeling fresh, but also prevents dehydration and helps flush out many toxins. Also include yogurt and buttermilk in your diet.
