Anthracite color characterizes the interior of a minimalist house in Israel

Who thinks that dark gray makes the room look dark and boring? The basic principles of minimalist interior design prove the versatility of the nuance, which creates a sense of security and sets accents. We present you a house in Israel, where the anthracite color sets the tone in the living rooms. There are numerous combination possibilities – for example with pink, rose or green, which look noble against the dark background. Join us on a virtual tour and learn how you can effectively set the scene for the anthracite color in your own four walls!

Anthracite color as an accent on the facade

House with suspended facade and wooden cladding on the exterior walls

The family house consists of two cubic structures, which are connected by a staircase. The facade is a modern work of art of minimalist architecture. Suspended elements made of metal provide visual and solar protection, wooden cladding sets accents and gives the design a rustic touch. White, gray and anthracite create an exciting and contrasting color scheme that effectively accentuates the individual architectural elements.

Three floors provide space for the entire family of four to entertain, relax or work. Floor-to-ceiling windows make the first floor a true living experience and offer a view of the garden, where a spacious terrace and pool invite you to spend time outdoors. The thoughtful space planning of the sleeping area also leaves nothing to be desired. The parents’ bedroom is a real retreat and the children’s rooms are functional and stylish.

Anthracite color in the interior

Living room with dining area and leather sofa and two armchairs in accent colors

The spacious living area, where there is a dining area and a living room, is the heart of the house. Here the whole family gathers to enjoy being together or celebrate with friends. Ample glazed fronts let sunlight into the room. The furnishings are kept to the minimum: Two comfortable modular leather sofas with adjustable backs, together with two glass and metal coffee tables and two designer armchairs, form a comfortable seating area. A metal table with an emphatically architectural substructure is the real eye-catcher in the dining area. Six leather chairs round out the dining space furnishings. The materials the interior designers used in the living area are as contrasting as the color palette itself: The combination of metal, leather, wood and glass gives the room a modern feel.

While the anthracite color was only used as an accent in the living area, it unfolds its full effect in the kitchen. The dark fronts of the cabinets give the room depth and exude modern sophistication. The built-in appliances and the adjacent dining area with straight lines complete the kitchen. The plank flooring and wall clad in reclaimed wood add a homey touch to the space.

The kitchen is visually separated from the living area by a wall shelf, yet it looks open and spacious. The adjacent dining area offers the opportunity to finish the evening while cooking or to have a cup of tea in between during the day. From the dining area you look directly to the staircase in anthracite, which leads to the second floor. There are housed the bedrooms of the family. The dark gray shade plays the main role there as well – especially as a wall color that relaxes the senses and the eyes after a long day at work.

The family house is the perfect combination of unconditional modernity and coziness. Anthracite color finds its place in all rooms – sometimes as an accent, sometimes as a background and sometimes as the main color that sets the tone.
