In Anchor Bay in the Popeye Village, of course! Here you’ll find the colorful sets of the 1979 movie starring Robin Williams as Popeye. Here the whole family can jump water trampolines or take a boat tour. Or get filmed and pretend you are in a movie with Popeye.

From 13 to 17 July 2022, culinary fans will get their money’s worth. The Malta International Food Festival lasts 5 days and takes place in Valletta. Food from all over the world will be served here. Discover with the whole family a colorful mix of diverse dishes prepared by more than 200 chefs. There is even a separate children’s area. The festival is accompanied by art exhibitions and a live program.
On July 2 and 3, 2022, the Mdina Medieval Festival will take place for the twelfth time. Here you can take yourself and your family to the time between 1200 and 1500 AD. Great battles, medieval traditions as well as everyday things from the Middle Ages you can experience a whole weekend in July. Live medieval music, magic shows, falconry demonstrations and a medieval market complete the adventure. From September 23-25, 2022, Malta will celebrate the International Folk Festival for the third year. Malta will have parades and artist performances, as well as music and cultural contributions from Malta, Gozo and other countries.
What are the Corona rules in Malta?
Families with children can easily travel to Malta in the summer of 2022:
Masks no longer need to be worn on flights to Malta.
Children 12 and under do not need a negative COVID-19 test or a vaccination certificate. Adults need a vaccination certificate, a certificate of recovery within the last six months, or a negative COVID-19 test (a PCR test no older than 72 hours or rapid test no older than 24 hours before departure). Otherwise, visitors go into quarantine for 10 days and can clear after 7 days. There is no longer a mask requirement indoors. Since the restrictions will be lifted in the summer of 2022, families can enjoy summer vacations together.
