A craft idea could hardly be easier! Get a bale of straw or hay in the desired size and a few flowers and you can make the decoration with straw bale itself. The decoration idea is not only suitable for the table, but can also be used to decorate the entrance area, for which you can also take a larger bale of straw or hay. But inside it is recommended to use a base, so that the straws do not fall directly on the table, but are caught.
Then you can simply put artificial flowers or dried flowers in any arrangement in the bale until you are satisfied with the combination. Of course, typical autumn flowers are a better choice. A Leaves and twigs are also good, as well as berries, fruits and pine cones.
If you want to use real cut flowers for this decoration idea, then also take plug-in foam to help. Place it in a container of the desired size for the arrangement, after cutting it, and put the flowers in it. Moisten the foam.

That’s all you need to do! You can glue the figures with hot glue or pin them with wire in a place that is not visible.
For the evening hours also look gorgeous fairy lights. Use LED fairy lights that you wrap around the bale or form a lettering with their help. Nevertheless, do not leave the illuminated hay bale decoration unattended.
Straw bale decoration for the entrance area
It is even easier to simply place large bales on the terrace, in front of the front door or in the garden to display other decorative elements on them. Use the bales to place flower pots or pumpkins on several steps, for example, and combine them with plaques, signs, scarecrows or whatever else you can think of that fits autumn. Or how about decorating the front of the straw bale decorations with garland?
And for Halloween, you can temporarily replace the decorations with carved pumpkins and other spooky decorations.
Romantic with wrought iron lettering
Wrought iron is always a great decorative idea and even more so for a decoration with hay bales. You can have a blacksmith specially make a lettering for you. It is best to add small skewers that you can stick directly into the straw or hay. Alternatively, you can also make your own lettering for the straw bale decoration. For this, you simply use wire, which you then bend to shape. You then simply tie the letters to the hay or you still wrap wires here and there, which you leave sticking out at the back to be able to stick the letters into the side of the bale.
