You’ve gotten or made really great gifts and can’t wait to see the surprised and joyful faces of your loved ones when they unwrap them. But in order for them to unwrap them, they must of course be nicely wrapped beforehand. Especially for things that were not delivered or sold in a box, this is a challenge and if you simply don’t have the talent to fold and glue wrapping paper prettily, you need a simple alternative. We’ve got just the thing for you, templates and craft instructions for a Christmas gift box to stash odds and ends in. Have fun crafting!

Make your own pyramid box with printable template
You find the classic rectangular or square models a little too boring? Or is the gift you want to wrap a little taller in shape and wouldn’t fit in such a box? Pyramid-shaped boxes are the solution! And with our templates, crafting a box for the Christmas gift will also be a snap!
Print out the template on paper of any color and cut out the shape. If you want to make your box out of thicker cardstock that won’t accept the printer, you can also print the shape on regular paper, cut it out, and then transfer the outline to the selected cardstock. Then fold the shape in the designated places, using a ruler to help you get straight folds.
Next, punch holes in the tops of the four sides and run string through them for tying. Alternatively, you could apply glue to the tabs and glue them together to close the Christmas gift box.
Christmas Gift Box – Pyramid Motif Templates
You will find a colored version above, in case you have a color printer, as well as a white template below, which you can print out, cut out and then use as a template for your chosen paper or cardboard. If you choose the second option, you can also use the motifs that we offer. These can also be cut out and then glued to the sides of the pyramid. Or maybe you can find another use for them.
Fold all the sides along the dotted line in one and the same direction, so for example, by placing the paper in front of you with the nice side facing up and then fold everything down/inside. You apply the glue to the outer surfaces of the flaps so that they can then stick inside the triangular sides.
Classic box in rectangular shape
This box is made no less simple and you proceed in the same way as with the pyramid. Print the colored model or the white template to transfer it to any paper.

Cool box with handle for the Christmas gifts
No matter what gift box for Christmas you make yourself, the most practical thing about them is probably that they can be used again and again, as long as you do not glue them completely shut. This makes the Christmas box more sustainable than traditional wrapping paper, for example, and a great alternative to store-bought gift bags, which don’t always come in a small enough size. And with this model, you even get handles that give the package an even more interesting look.
